I need a T Shirt that explains, “no emergency, the lady just loves life and thinks it’s worth making an effort to stay healthy”. Did you know you can get advertisers to supply you with free Gym Gear and T Shirts? I saw it promoted in Facebook off a running page. I have seen T Shirts in the gym with pronexin written on them. Handy to have lots of T shirts when you are working out and need to change clothes often.

There is a beautiful swimming pool here in this caravan park, in north Queensland and I am the only one who uses it.

My husband caught 7 whiting this morning, and 8 tonight, and threw back some undersized perch, whiting and crabs, and he was the only angler on the shore.  With 15 fish caught my youngest grandson wants to come and fish with grand pop.

Many people sitting around, reading books is popular and sadly it seems someone has been using the internet – mine. yes I have gone over 6 gigabits, something I have never done before.  My usage spiked last Monday, looks like someone might have been downloading movies or games using my wireless internet connection.

I need to learn a lot more about securing my wireless connection, looking at the graph it all happened last Monday, I actually saw a man sitting outside all day on his computer, they moved away on Tuesday and my internet usage returned to normal.

This scandalous old lady got laughed at again today for having swum 2000 meters in the pool so I laughed right back in the direction of the grey nomad knockers and said that   would be a strong senior when those who laugh were frail elderly”.....yes put me down as a scandalous old lady who gives cheek right back. lol, wish I had the benefit of learned quick wit when I was picked on as a child, it  is only the learned, one liners that give me the skill of quick retort these days :-).

Not quite as funny as the seniors being concerned that my husband had been taken by a crocodile,  because,  I was seen running along the street away from the beach after we had both been seen walking to the beach together.

I remember when I was younger and I was carrying a fruit bowl full of fibroids,  people made comments about my being pregnant. I hated those comments and was always so careful to never assume anyone was pregnant because of their shape.  I did not need to take prenatal vitamins, I just needed a hysterectomy to get rid of those fibroids but I wouldn’t get it done, I was convinced it wasn’t needed.  I put up with them for 20 years until I finally had to get the op. done in my fifties.  I had kept my head in the sand in defiant belief that almost all hysterectomies were unnecessary, and had not seen the clear evidence that mine was.  Part fear and a lot of stubbornness on my part.

What can I say now about it?  ‘Best thing I ever got done for my health’. I was crazy to have waited and ignoresd all the advice I was given.  Second best thing I've done for my health was mastering my weight problem and getting down to an average size, not my former size 22 going on 24.

Now at 63, my poor stomach muscles are like that rubber band that was over stretched, for over twenty years both due to those fibroids mimicking a full term pregnancy in size and my obesity. I may never take a good side on photo, thought there are lots of things I do now that I never thought would be possible once.  I was however pretty pleased with my front view photos today.. lol, Hope you don’t mind my sharing  my pleasure.

I am also showing Reg. Pretty trim as he is, doing all he can to keep healthy, by walking 10,000 steps a day and he wears his pedometer and  takes pride in seeing the kilometres come up to that daily target.  A great goal, for a man of 69. J, and apparently the best thing you can do to aid memory, is not doing crosswords but to walk. J.

Reg took a few photos of me in the swimming pool today, and a few out of the pool that does not intend to show here.  I swam the 800 meters easier than I have on previous occasions.   I love discovering I am getting fitter every week.
What I do not see, when I dress, in black jeans and top, and only see the front on view.

Going to be a lot more months or a year, of fitness training, before I am ready to send out the goal weight,
graduation invitationsbut I'm determined I will make that goal.  I have been so inspired by some of the fit senior women I have seen lately.
Ballina Beach Holiday Park, has a fantastic twin swimming pool set up and I swam my 800 meters this afternoon and loved the experience. J.

I am back from a 6-kilometer run along seven mile beach and feeling exhilarated.  Indigo our small poodle, kept pace with me for the whole run. She will sleep well tonight.Reg and I have been staying here at Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park, for a few days and just loving it. The staff, here is about the friendliest I have encountered and I learned that they are into Zumba dance fitness. One staff member said Zumba was better than the best weight loss pills and I must admit it sounds like fun and the staff members I met all look very fit and slim. Maybe it’s the lifestyle here, even the caravaners in these coastal caravan parks look a fitter lot that the average I saw while touring last year.

Maybe,  the idea of gray with an a for active nomad is catching on J.

Reg, Indigo and I went for the short walk from our caravan site on the foreshore of Seven Mile Beach, to the wide sands, found ourselves a sand dune seat and enjoyed an afternoon mug of tea in our custom travel mugs.

Then I remembered how Percy Cerutty, the famous Australian trainer he trained his sports champion by having them run up and down sand dunes as well as along the beach at his training camp at Portsea, Victoria.  I am trying to use nature and the elements in nature as my training equipment and there I was, sitting on my gym.

I got up and began running up and down the dunes being sure to avoid the vegetated areas, not wanting to disturb more than the loose sand. Indigo our poodle thought it was heaven-playing sand dune romps with me, I thought she would tire before me but she did not. After 10 minutes, I thought Reg might like a change of scenery so I began my run along the shoreline, again Indigo kept pace with me and I ran for half an hour.  I loved every minute of this.  I ran past Reg at one point and said, ‘I could not do this a few weeks ago’ and he agreed that my fitness has increased dramatically.

Reg took the photos including the one of the lovely sunset. We returned to our caravan, less than a minutes’ walk from the beach, and Reg was in fine form J he cooked dinner while I showered and I am settling in for a quiet night of blogging about our journey. J

It has been a perfect day here at Seven Mile Beach.  We are staying at and highly recommend the very dog friendly Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park.
